If you are a seltzer lover we have good news for you.  Let’s break down some of those myths we’ve been hearing about.

QUESTION:

Does Seltzer keep you hydrated like regular water?  Does it count as part of your daily water intake?

ANSWER:

YES!  It is just as hydrating as water and it may even make you feel full.

QUESTION:

Does seltzer leach calcium from your bones?

ANSWER:

It does absolutely nothing to your bones.  Maybe a flavored processed soda but not a natural seltzer.

QUESTION:

Does seltzer damage your teeth enamel?

ANSWER:

It is a little more abrasive than plain water but not acidic enough to erode the enamel on your teeth.  The ones with added sugar are the ones to watch out for.

QUESTION:

Does seltzer make you gassy or bloated?

ANSWER:

It is extra air so it can cause gas and bloat but if it’s something you love and doesn’t stop you….DRINK UP.  Just don’t let anyone squeeze you.

QUESTION:

Does seltzer make you constipated?

ANSWER:

It will not give you Irritable Bowl or Constipation.  Like we said it actually hydrates you which helps keep things moving along.

In summary, seltzer is a great way to stay hydrated and not get bored with your water so play around with it.  Add lemon, lime, ginger, cucumber, mint.
