Energy Drinks, Can they be healthy and useful at the same time?
We did a little research after the question was asked and guess what there are brands out there also listening.
Some of the natural ingredients we are looking for that supply the energy boost sometimes needed at that 3:00pm time slot are: (as I sit here with my 3:00 coffee habit I need to break!! Game on tomorrow after all this great knowledge!)
Of course caffeine 400mg max daily broken up into two servings is best. (now that I think about it I only have 1 cup in the morning and 8 oz has about 91 mg of caffeine so my second cup isn’t so bad yippie, knowledge is power 🙂 )
B Vitamins: These actually help you break down your food into usable energy so it seems pretty clear when in your energy drink they just might do the trick
Sugar: You know how we feel about it so less than 8 grams per serving it what we ask.
Green tea extract: Caffeine plus all its additional properties and antioxidants help brain and liver function and may reduce blood pressure to name a few, sounds good to us. Can’t overdo this!!
Guarana: Seed from South Africa that packs so much caffeine in one shot it’s bound to give you a pick me up.
Ginkgo Biloba: You might of heard of this one over the years because it promotes mental health and helps with mental fatigue.
Great! now we have some insight into what to look for but how can we trust these drinks don’t have other added ingredients that will cancel out the health benefits of these natural ones.
We did some research and found a few that can be found right on amazon. We’ve also created a few homemade ones that can be made in just a few minutes.
Top brands we like:
